For over 30 years, the duo Hans-Peter Falkner (electric accordion, vocals) and Markus Binder (drums, electro beats, jew's harp, vocals) have been creating their own deconstruction of alpine tradition in a pop cultural universe that ranges from rock 'n' roll and polka to trip-hop and techno. From two-minute song miniatures to twenty-minute hypnotic loops, everything is included. You have to see them live to understand the full range of their musical magic and to feel their special groove.

Attwenger combine elements of traditional music with punk rock, trap, hip-hop, techno, dub, and rockabilly, pushing folklore far beyond the point where it turns against its own narrow-mindedness and triviality. The lyrics are crazy, groovy, and always directed against the mentality of so-called "healthy public sentiment," or as the Süddeutsche Zeitung put it: "High-quality madness in dialect." Attwenger are virtuoso rascals who make brilliant music that gets your butt shaking. Since their founding in the early nineties, they have never aimed to conquer the mainstream but have continuously developed their unique blend of the most diverse ingredients. Attwenger show how to achieve complete independence while drawing from the traditional repertoire, how to think and dance at the same time, to have fun and reflect.

After Klagenfurt, the two slang punks bring their new album, the 10th studio album, titled WOS. Playfully linguistic and groovy as ever: "You are King, I am Kong, who is right, who is wrong".
